Film & Traditional
My love of photography really began the first time I watched an image slowly form under a red light in a darkroom. I don't think I will ever lose the sense of wonder and enjoyment I get from locking myself away from the world for a few hours to create pictures.
I tend to favour more esoteric processes such as bromoil, lumen prints and mordancage as they produce results that are unique and difficult (if not impossible) to reproduce digitally, but I still enjoy making more straightforward prints if the image suits it.
I also enjoy using a hybrid film/digital process, taking images using film and scanning the negatives before processing and printing them digitally. This allows me to retain the look of film images whilst allowing me to make use of digital processes when I feel the image would benefit from such an approach.
